Leo has graduated in Rural Development Science from Madurai University and also studied history. He has done a specialized course in beekeeping conducted by the Central Bee Research and Training Institute, Pune. He has also undergone an intensive course on Management Appreciation Programme for Voluntary Agencies at the Institute of Rural Management, Anand. So, Leo has been one of the mentors in Keystone from the beginning.
"Keystone is a place where you develop desirable qualities and take your own initiatives. The youngsters that are joining Keystone have total freedom, they can really hit the sky." Leo can remember how Keystone has moved along - he used to be every day in the villages, going to the field and providing training on compost, nurseries, water management, etc. "This whole thing has flourished from beekeeping and it’s important to see the links." |

Personal
|
Leo is learning about renewable energy because it’s important for the future. "People are living in fragile ecosystems which is a prime reason to use energy which doesn’t harm nature. The other reason is that’s it’s free. The investment is costly but it doesn’t do any damage.
In the future he would like to travel a lot and see how different communities live, use resources and manage their lives. Since he has a a mechanical mindset, he also would like to build his own, totally environmental friendly car.
